Pilatesflows - health insurance recognised classes

Pilatesflows is a movement method developed by Pascale Blunier that combines Pilates with principles from physiotherapy, osteopathy and recent studies on fascia. No machinery is needed to practice it, just roll out a mat and you're done. Fundamental is the precision of the movement always guided by the correct activation of the Powerhouse (come to the free trial course to understand what it is)...

Soft and effective

This is a complete Pilatesflows session, practised at a gentle pace so you can tune into your body and perform the movements correctly. During the class, you’ll develop greater body awareness and restore balance to your whole body, through work on your breathing, fascia and muscles. The aims of the course are to release unnecessary tension in the body, strengthen it and make it more flexible, whilst also improving your posture. You’ll feel the benefits both physically and mentally. WHO IS IT FOR? The course is suitable whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience of Pilates or other sports. Age recommendations? 15 years and over. No prior skills are required.

Intense and dynamic

This is a Pilatesflows class that combines strength and precision with a more intense sequence and more complex movements. The class offers the opportunity to consistently perform high-quality movements that require better body control, greater strength and good stability. The objectives are to strengthen the core muscles, promote flexibility and leave you feeling revitalised and grounded by the end of the class, as well as having rebalanced your whole body. WHO IS IT FOR? The class is designed for those who already have a good understanding of their own bodies, for those who want to push themselves a little harder during classes, and for those who enjoy regular, small challenges. The class is also particularly well-suited to athletes, as it helps to correct imbalances, prepare the body for physical activity and apply what has been learnt to one’s own sport.

Senior - over 65

This is a complete Pilatesflows session, set at a gentle pace to help you tune into your body and perform the movements correctly. The class is led in a very calm manner, allowing you to work without overexerting yourself and to execute the movements correctly, which helps to restore the body’s balance. The aim is to work whilst maintaining your current physical abilities and, where possible, improving them. We’ll focus on balance and strength, without neglecting mobility and breathing. Everyone is welcome just as they are, whether they have aches and pains or not. I take everyone’s health into account and each exercise is adapted to the participant’s needs, offering variations where required. FOR WHOM? For people who need to move slowly, who do not want to strain their bodies but still wish to feel the benefits of the practice. Generally for those aged 65 and over (with no upper age limit), but it ultimately depends on how each person feels.

Camomilla Flow - Mobility and Pilatesflows

A very gentle class, designed to help you move your body with kindness and gentleness. The focus is not so much on strength, but rather on space. It’s about creating space within the body. A class that blends various forms of movement (drawing inspiration from yoga, mobility exercises and Pilates flows) but with the aim of simply looking after your body, just as it is. Through gentle movements and breathwork, tension is released and space is created. The class always ends with a moment of relaxation. WHO IS IT FOR? For those who perhaps aren’t so keen on exercise and want something even more peaceful – a moment to relax. For those who suffer from various aches and pains and therefore want an even gentler approach to movement. For those who are no longer so young. For those who are expecting a baby.

Yoga, Dance and Wine

We’re bringing back our wonderful Yoga and Dance session with Ada. On Sunday, July 5, take some time for yourself to move with us through asanas and a dance meditation (Lotusmotion) led by me. To wrap up the evening, there will also be a delicious aperitif prepared by Manimatte, served with a glass of wine. An ideal evening to carve out some time for yourself, but also to share a moment with the other participants and recharge yourself for the week ahead. We look forward to seeing you! About me

Since a young age I have always liked movment and with the age of 6 I started dancing, a passion that kept growing over time and brought me to chose it as a profession.

Physical activity has always been an important part of my daily life, allowing me to feel centred and balanced. After high school, I pursued my interest in movement and in 2019 I completed my studies in Sports, Movement and Health Sciences at the University of Basel. I then moved to London to pursue my training in contemporary dance at Elevate Dance Company. When I returned to Switzerland in 2020, I started working as a teacher of modern-contemporary dance and ballet. Later, I also taught modern jazz. In 2020, I began my Pilatesflows training. This training introduced me to a very effective training method that allowed me to rebalance my body. I am currently pursuing a diploma in choreography, with I-Path. After my first work experiences in Biel, Bern and Fribourg, I decided to return to Ticino and start my own Pilatesflows and Lotusmotion courses. In addition to this, I am also continuing with the DanzarMente project and teaching dance at ATAS in Locarno.

I speak Italian, English, French and German (as well as swissgerman), and I have already taught in all these langauges. If you would like to take a class with me, but don’t feel at ease in italian, no worries. I can guide you in the language you prefer. Come and try!

Why did I choose the name Bloomingmoves?

Bloomingmoves means movements of blossoming. After the movement practices I offer, from personal experience, I always feel like a flower. I feel good, open, positive, strong, grounded, beautiful, connected, centred... and it is this feeling that I like to convey in my courses.

Testimonies

"My first Pilates class was with Marylin, and I think she's the best. Thanks to her attention, Marylin not only helps you perform the exercises but also listen to your body and adapt to its needs. After a year of weekly classes, a year after giving birth, she helped me alleviate several postpartum complaints."Meriam
